Medical organization solves the pending payroll issue caused by product end of life decisions by Vertex® and Oracle® with a solution from third-party maintenance leader Spinnaker Support.

DENVER, August 21, 2013 – Spinnaker Support, the global market leader for SAP, Siebel, and JD Edwards third-party maintenance, application/technical management services, and consulting services, announces that a large health care provider in the Midwest has fully tested the Q Series Integrator for JD Edwards (JDE) World Payroll, and are preparing to go live. The Q Series Integrator provides JDE World Payroll users on version A7.3 through A9.2 a solution to integrate vital payroll tax functions with the Vertex Payroll Tax Q Series (PTQ) without necessitating an upgrade to World A9.3 or an upgrade to the V7R1 OS. With 3,300 employees across five states, the health care provider recognized the obvious need to keep their JDE payroll system running smooth and seamless, and determined that Spinnaker Support’s Q Series Integrator was the perfect solution.

“The Q Series Integrator has been an important focus for our development team. We understand the customer’s frustrations with being forced into an upgrade, so our team has been focused on getting this organization and many others live,” said Matt Stava, Managing Principal of Spinnaker Support. “A large percentage of the calls we are receiving have to do with this World Payroll issue. The pent-up demand for our cost effective solution will keep our implementation teams busy through year end. We encourage companies interested in our Q Series Integrator to contact us in order to plan for the December 31st implementation deadlines.”

Vertex announced that the retirement of its Payroll Tax L Series (PTL) product will occur in December 2013, affecting JDE World US and Canadian Payroll users on version A7.3 through A9.2 currently utilizing PTL as their tax calculation and reporting solution.  Subsequently, Oracle replaced the PTL interface with the new PTQ interface in its latest version, World A9.3, and now A9.2.1. With the Q Series Integrator from Spinnaker Support, those World clients faced with this decision have a choice other than to upgrade.  The Q Series Integrator delivers a real-time integration between the defined World version and the Vertex PTQ product.

Implementation of the Q Series Integrator includes all development, testing, and consulting services, and takes an average of four weeks.  Spinnaker Support is expecting to implement its Q Series solution in over 100 companies in 2013. A significantly less costly investment than upgrading, the Q Series Integrator works flawlessly and has minimal implementation impact for customers. The Q Series Integrator will be supported by Spinnaker Support for as long as it is in use.

“We have received enormous response about the Q Series Integrator and our pipeline is filling up faster than we had even hoped,” commented Stava.  “We have multiple live customers and numerous in the implementation and testing phase. Companies that would like to consider this solution need to act quickly.”
