Peter Carter, Director, Demand Generation
As Spinnaker’s Director, Demand Generation, Peter Carter is responsible for developing and executing overall marketing strategy and tactics to grow the company’s consulting and support practices. His responsibilities include branding and corporate identity, lead generation, events, analyst and media relations, customer communications and corporate communications.
Mr. Carter has more than 20 years of domestic and international experience helping organizations ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 1000 companies grow their businesses. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, business development, market research and analysis, branding, email marketing, Web marketing and public relations.
Prior to joining Spinnaker, Mr. Carter served as a marketing consultant with Liberty Mutual, where he was responsible for rebranding regional insurer Colorado Casualty Insurance Company and launching its social media initiative. Previously, he served as Vice President of Marketing with Mortgage Cadence, where he implemented integrated marketing campaigns and Web-based lead tracking programs that helped grow sales volume by 90%. Mr. Carter has also worked for ILOG Inc. (now IBM ILOG), where he served as Worldwide Strategic Planning Director and orchestrated the development of that company’s first global marketing plan. Mr. Carter began his career at Computer Associates managing marketing programs for the company’s mainframe accounting and manufacturing software applications.
A New York native, Mr. Carter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College.
