Brett Miller, Controller

Brett Miller is a Colorado CPA with over 25 years experience in financial reporting and controls. Prior to joining Spinnaker, he had over 7 years experience in the audit practice of a CPA firm in Houston, Texas. Upon leaving as an Audit Partner, Mr. Miller joined private companies as Controller in various industries including insurance, financial services, professional services consulting and hospitality. For 8 years, he worked for a professional services consulting firm with an emphasis on Federal Defense Contracting in the Human Resources and Information Technologies fields.

Mr. Miller has extensive experience in financial process control and procedures. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration in Accounting from Western Michigan University and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance.

At Spinnaker, Mr. Miller is responsible for the financial aspects of the business. He oversees the accounting department, along with coordinating cash flow forecasting, quarterly budgets, and monthly financial reporting packages. Mr. Miller also maintains and oversees contracts with customers and vendors. As part of the financial oversight, he handles day to day banking relationships, insurance needs and interfaces with external accountants for financial and tax needs.
